At Betfair odds of 43/1, I reckon that Timo Glock has a much better chance of making the Podium in Hungary than the price would imply.

With over-taking options at the Hungaroring almost as dire as in Monaco, I will be looking for the German to qualify outside the Ten (pretty-much the norm for him, so far this season), load the car up with fuel and jump himself into the top three on a very long first stint.

The nature of the circuit tends to compress the field and those drivers who can stay out longest on lowering fuel should be well positioned over the race distance, as the front-runners tend not to get away to the same extent as at a traditional race circuit.

Glock has excelled in the past with a heavy fuel-load and we need look no further than last year’s race for an example of where similar tactics worked to his advantage. He is in an even better car this year and I’ve therefore felt compelled to take some of that 43/1.
