Points to Prove?
Nobody truly knows how the inaugural race in Valencia will pan out; however most seem to be speculating that it will be incident-packed. A safety car appearance is long odds-on, whilst the betting would also indicate that we should expect to see in the region of six retirements. The Fastest Lap market is one that Kimi Raikkonen has dominated again this season. Seven fastest laps in eleven races shows that he has had the speed that belies his championship position. Valencia Qualifying Value
I’ll be taking it softly-softly this weekend, as the F1 circus moves onto a new venue in Valencia for the European Grand Prix. For all that the track is billed as a ‘street circuit’, the simulations and footage I have seen thus far, remind me more of Albert Park in Melbourne than Monte Carlo, and for that reason, I think we can look forward to a reasonably wide-open race.
