Not too much detail at this stage, but a couple of prices that I think are worth taking in advance of the Monaco race weekend are:

Lewis Hamilton Race Winner @ 16/5 (4.20) with BWin
Lewis Hamilton to beat Felipe Massa @ 6/5 (2.20) with BWin

There are a number of reasons why I don’t think that these prices will be around once the markets have settled down. Hamilton has had success here in the past, whilst it is fair to say the Brazilian has generally struggled. McLaren will also be looking to avoid a repeat of seemingly denying the Brit the opportunity to win his favourite race here last year.

The Ferrari and McLaren cars are looking pretty well matched at this week’s Paul Ricard test and certainly last year the McLaren had the advantage in the principality. Ferrari’s marginally shorter wheelbase for 2008 might mitigate this slightly, but I think that the decision by BWin’s traders to make Hamilton the third favourite to take victory will prove to be a mistake. With other firms Lewis is priced ahead of Massa and on the exchanges he is vying for outright favouritism.
